A Wind Advisory is in effect for the North and Central Coast.
An active weather pattern this week will bring periods of heavy rain and mountain snow, gusty south winds and possible river flooding on the Skokomish River in Mason County.
The National Weather Service in Seattle is forecasting 1-3 feet of new snow across the western slopes of the Cascades on Tuesday which may make travel over the Cascade passes difficult this week. Strong winds late tonight and Tuesday could provide wind gusts up to 40-50 MPH. Winds may be strong enough to down tree limbs, causing local power outages.
Another round of heavy rain and mountain snow is expected on Thursday and Friday with flooding on the Skokomish river possible.
