Two teenagers were injured when their car drifted over the shoulder of oncoming traffic of U.S. Highway 12, about 2 miles East of Oakville Sunday evening. The Washington State Patrol reports their 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer was Westbound on 12 at milepost 37 when it crossed the centerline and left the road onto the Eastbound shoulder, spun, and came to rest in the ditch.
An 18-year-old Oakville teen was transported to Providence Saint Peter’s Hospital in Olympia. The passenger, a 17-year-old Oakville teen was transported to Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma.
Drug or alcohol use contributing to the wreck was unknown, the cause of the accident was listed as being “over the centerline,” any charges stemming from the accident are under investigation.
