Preliminary election results from the November General Election are out tonight, available on the county auditor’s website you can find through vote.wa.gov Grays Harbor County voters have returned 34.5% of ballots sent to a total of 38,611 registered voters.

Voters are supporting incumbent Stephen Brown for Superior Court Judge with 68.35% over Jean Cotton’s 31.65%

For Port Commissioner, incumbent Stan Pinnick leads Jackie Farra with 55.71% over 44.38%

Mayors races in several towns are close in the preliminary numbers, In Aberdeen, Erik Larson over Jack Micheau 72.22% to 27.28%

Cosmopolis Mayor Frank Chestnut is unopposed.

In Elma, incumbent Mayor David Osgood is behind Jim Sorensen by 11 votes.

In Hoquiam Jasmine Dickhoff is beating incumbent Hoquiam mayor Jack Durney 56.03% to 43.97%

In Montesano, Vini Samuel is beating incumbent Mayor Ken Estes, 67.55% to 32.45%.

Ocean Shores Mayor Crystal Dingler is holding onto a strong lead with 62.93% over Susan Conniry’s 37.07%

Westport Mayor Michael Bruce is losing his seat with 26.17% of the vote against Rob Bearden’s 73.83% in preliminary numbers.

A fourth attempt to construct a stadium for the Elma school district is failing with only 51% of a required “supermajority vote”

McCleary residents are rejecting a levy to partially fund police services for the coming year, with only 47% yes votes

Voters in Fire District #2 from Central Park to the Wynoochee and Brady area are supporting a bond to renovate and expand facilities, with 62.64% yes votes

Grays Harbor also has one of the few three-party races since Jim Hudspeth, Cathie Bisiack, and Bill Campbell all filed for the open seat on the Fire District 8 board during a special filing week in May. Bill Campbell appears to be winning that race with 78 of the votes, Cathie trails with 70 and Jim with 12.
The Grays Harbor County Auditor reports with 38,611 registered voters 13,345 ballots were counted as of tonight – some still in the mail, we’ll see some of these races change in the coming days.
