Lt. Col. Roy White, founder of Truth in Texas Textbooks, will be the Keynote Speaker at the Lincoln Lasagna Luncheon on Saturday, February 17th. The event is scheduled from 11:30-3pm at the Aberdeen Rotary Log Pavillion and is hosted by the Grays Harbor Republican Party.

Lt. Col. White is a retired Air Force officer and fighter pilot of 20 years of service retiring in 1999. In 2013 he founded Truth in Texas Textbooks (now called Truth in Textbooks) whose mission is to review K-12 social studies textbooks for accuracy and truthfulness. He currently serves as the President of TNT.

Since its inception, Truth in Textbooks has trained nearly 200 individuals who have joined the effort to replace the political correct history found in our children’s textbooks with history that accurately portrays the Judeo-Christian values and American exceptionalism that has made America what it is while pointing out the contributions western civilizations have made to the improvement of our world today.

His team of reviewers has conducted reviews of nearly 100 textbooks, instructional and supplemental materials in multiple states to include Texas, California, Florida and North Carolina. He is recruiting others to join their efforts to return “truth” to our children’s textbooks.

The theme for this year’s Lincoln Lasagna Luncheon is Truth in Education. Other featured speakers are Rep. J.T. Wilcox, Rep. Jim Walsh, Rep. Candidate Jim McEntire and County Auditor Candidate Joe MacLean. Event activities include an 80-ticket limit raffle for an Asus Flagship Premium Touchscreen Laptop ($799 value), a Dessert Dash and a “Buy your Local Politician” Auction. The laptop raffle tickets will only be available at the door and you must be present to win.
