Three men are in custody over a kidnapping and beating incident in Ocean Shores recently. Lieutenant Brad Johansson with the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office reports an update to a recent kidnapping and assault investigation. He said the Sheriff’s Office worked with the Ocean Shores Police Department and the Grays Harbor Drug Task Force.

Two men from Ocean Shores, aged 46 and 25, along with a 38-year-old Hoquiam man confronted the 27-year-old man at one of the suspect’s Ocean Shores home. They believed the victim had stolen illegal drugs from them.

After the victim denied the allegations, the suspects started beating him with fists, feet, and a wooden stick. The victim was also pistol-whipped and threatened with a firearm. They tried to escape but were stopped and then tied to a chair.

At one point the man was stabbed in the shoulder with a knife, he was able to escape when the suspects tried to move him. He ran to a nearby home and from there was taken to the hospital where he filed a police report reference the kidnapping and assault.

A search warrant was served on the home and a vehicle, investigators recovered what is believed to be the victim’s blood, a pistol, knives, a wooden stick as well as a large amount of methamphetamine, heroin, and cash.

The Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office, Ocean Shores Police Department, Grays Harbor Drug Task Force and the Aberdeen Police Department coordinated efforts to arrest all 3 suspects who participated in the kidnapping and assault.
