A 20 year old Shelton woman died after an oncoming car crossed the center line and collided head on with her car early Sunday morning. The Washington State Patrol reports it happened on U.S. Route 101, about 2 miles south of Shelton. The 1990 Mazda MX-6, driven by a 20 year old man, collided with her 1992 Honda Accord killing her at the scene and injuring her passenger, a 22 year old Shelton man who was transported to Mason General Hospital. The driver of the Mazda was also injured, transported to Saint Peters. Trooper Merritt reports the cause, and any charges stemming from the incident are both under investigation. The Washington State Patrol reports drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident.
