An argument between a couple of senior citizens in Aberdeen ended with one man passing away at the hospital Tuesday morning. Aberdeen Police Captain John Green reports they were called to the 40 Et 8 Club in the 2300 block of Simpson Ave Monday evening on the report of a fight that had taken place between two men.
The responding officers found a man on the floor inside the building who was bleeding from his face. The bartender told the officers that the other man had left after the incident. Officer were able to identify the other man and located him at his residence in the 3000 block of Aberdeen Avenue in Hoquiam.
The 72 year old Hoquiam man told police that their was an argument between him and the 71 year old Aberdeen man about something to do with the City of Kettle Falls. The Hoquiam man ended up striking the other man in the head causing him to go to the ground. The Hoquiam man told police he was protecting himself.
The victim was treated by AFD and transported to GH Community Hospital. The man was later transported by life flight to a hospital in Olympia in critical condition. Green said they were notified that the man passed away at a King County hospital this morning, his name is not being released until his next of kin has been notified.
The investigation is continuing.
