A Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) public boat launch on Failor Lake near Hoquiam will be inaccessible Sept. 12-16 while improvements to the forest road servicing the site are underway.

the landowner, Rayonier, will be replacing several culverts on Failor Lake Road between U.S. 101 and the WDFW facility.

Although WDFW is not formally closing its launch facility, “the landowner is closing the access road to ensure safety for the public and the construction crew,” said Brian Mitchell, WDFW access site manager.

The Failor Lake Water Access Site is located 10 miles north of Hoquiam and 2.3 miles west of US 101.
