Crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will be closing some lanes of southbound US 101 along Simpson Avenue and East Heron Street in Aberdeen and Hoquiam a few nights this week. WSDOT reports signed-detours will be in place during the work, which begins in Hoquiam Wednesday night with single-lane closures on Simpson Avenue between 6th Street and 28th street for pavement repairs.

In Aberdeen Northbound 101 traffic crossing the Chehalis River Bridge will be directed over South G Street, onto East Wishkah Street, to South H Street, then back to East Heron to continue South on 101 to make room for crews to safely repair Heron between South Jefferson Street and F Street.

The work is scheduled overnights, from 9 pm to 5:30 am the following day until the work wraps up in Aberdeen Friday morning.
