UPDATE: A woman sought in a Moclips homicide investigation was arrested and released and two others were arrested as part of this investigation. An update to the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s department’s Facebook page yesterday said the investigation is active and detectives are still investigating.

Detectives are seeking more information after one person was left dead from a shooting incident Monday evening. Undersheriff Brad Johansson with the Grays Harbor sheriff’s office said in a press release that on 05-18-20 at approximately 5:52 P.M deputies responded to a report of a male who had suffered a gunshot wound and was taken by a private party to the Grays Harbor Fire District 8 station to render aid.  The victim, 36-year-old Zachery Christensen from Moclips, was transported to Grays Harbor Community Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. 

Deputies and detectives contacted witnesses and determined that an altercation involving three people had taken place on Otis Ave in Moclips. During the physical altercation, a gun was fired and Christensen was fatally struck.  Investigators are still attempting to locate one person of interest involved in the altercation.
