The combined team of the Aberdeen, Hoquiam and the Montesano SkillsUSA programs has raised more than the 20,000 needed to send a record number of nine competitors to the national conference in Louisville Kentucky June 25th through the 29th.

In April the students brought home gold in several categories from the state competition in Yakima and were invited to nationals in Kentucky.

Hoquiam Senior Walker Dunn will be competing in HVAC, and Refrigeration. Hoquiam Junior Trent Wood returns after finishing 12th last year in Sheet Metal.

Montesano Junior, Danika Peterson will be competing in Nurse Assisting.

From the school radio station, 106.5FM the KAHS, Aberdeen Junior Bryson Greneir and Sophomore Colby Haviland will compete in Audio Production.

The four-member team competing in Entrepreneurship from Aberdeen is Mik-ay-lah Leach, Marina Urvina, Cole Schubert, and Blake Beeson.

Fundraising continues Friday afternoon with a 24-hour radio show on the KAHS FM radio station, further proceeds will help fund future trips.
