The Aberdeen Police Department is warning college students and staff to lock up their vehicles after a couple of recent thefts. The department reports that on Thursday of last week they were called to the college campus in South Aberdeen to investigate after a window was broken and a duffel bag stolen from a vehicle.
Police were called to the college again last Saturday after another vehicle was broken into. A stereo was stolen and the steering column was damaged as if the thief was trying to steal the vehicle.
As the gifting season approaches, local police departments remind you to lock your vehicle when not attended, and do not to leave valuables in plain view inside the vehiclee.
