Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews will soon restripe a segment of eastbound US 12 near Chehalis Street to create a new left-turn at one of the largest intersections of the Gateway Plaza in East Aberdeen.
From 8 p.m. Thursday, June 20, to 4 a.m. Friday, June 21, drivers will see one-way alternating traffic controlled by flaggers at the intersection.
The changes are the result of a Practical Solutions process in which traffic engineers looked for cost-effective ways to improve traffic flow and reduce the potential for collisions.
The work is weather-dependent and could be rescheduled.
