The Planned temporary closure of Department of Licensing offices for the Labor Day holiday weekend will disrupt online, in-person services and online voter registration.

A press release from Grays Harbor Auditor Chris Thomas said that all Department of Licensing offices will be closed August 31st through September 3rd and reopen on Tuesday, September 4th. Also Online voter registrations will not be available during the closure.

Online and in-person service disruptions expected August 26 to September 3.

The Washington State Department of Licensing is preparing to launch a modernized driver licensing system at the end of August, and customers need to be aware of office closures and service disruptions in order to transition from the old system to the new system. Driver licensing offices will be closed Friday, August 31st through September 3rd. Vehicle licensing offices may be open, but unable to provide licensing services.

In addition, during this time, the online voter registration will not be available. MyVote will still be usable as a lookup tool, but voters will not be able to register or update online.
