Improper passing was the cause of a two-car collision on the Westport Highway that sent two Aberdeen residents to the hospital early Saturday morning. The Washington State Patrol reports a 2003 Chevy Cavalier and a 2008 Toyota Camry were Northbound on State Route 105, the Chevy attempted to turn left onto Pirates Way (East of Bay City), and the Toyota attempted to pass at the same time. The momentum from the collision pushed the Toyota off the road and into the ditch where it rolled down an embankment and came to rest upside down.

The driver of the Toyota, a 19-year-old Aberdeen man was not injured. The driver of the Chevy and his passenger are both 23-years-old and both from Aberdeen, both were also transported to Community Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
