On February 12th, members of the Pacific County Drug Task Force served a narcotics related search warrant upon a residence located in the 400 block of Fir street northeast. The residence in question is located in very close proximity to the Ilwaco Middle and High Schools. The Pacific County Drug Task Force was assisted by the Long Beach Police Department, the Pacific County Sheriff’s Office and the Clatsop County Drug Task Force during the service of the warrant.
The search warrant was obtained as a result of a two month investigation regarding the sales of heroin by a male subject residing at the residence. Derrick RB Budd, age 37, was arrested at the scene for three counts of delivery of a controlled substance (heroin).
During the search of the residence, investigators discovered several small baggies containing a white crystal like substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. Investigators also discovered a baggie containing a substance that tested positive for heroin. Other narcotics related paraphernalia indicative of narcotics sales were also located.
Due to the evidence located during the search, Budd was also arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Heroin) with intent to deliver and for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine). Budd was transported to Pacific County Jail for booking.
