The Hoquiam Police Department is offering a $500 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect from the May 25th robbery of the Smoketown store on Simpson Avenue

Police Chief Jeff Myers said in a press release this week that a canine track that evening was unsuccessful, detectives have been following up on leads, but Myers said, “so far we have been unable to identify the suspect.”

Myers asks, “please look at the photos/ video posted on Facebook and share it with others.”

The man was confronted at gunpoint by an armed citizen who saw the clerk waving for help outside while the suspect tried to pry open the register with a knife. The man was lucky to have slipped out the door without being shot.

If he is someone from the Harbor, police believe someone will know him, or the he will have related the story to someone. The Hoquiam Police Department will provide a $500 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.

If you have information, please call Detective Ryan Pearson at 360-532-0892 x 102 and please be sure to leave a message if he is not in his office. Or you can email him at [email protected]

Myers said, “We appreciate the assistance of the public in this case as it is critical this person be identified and brought to justice before he harms someone else.”
