The Grays Harbor Transit Authority will hold a public hearing this afternoon on proposed changes to their Specialized Van Service.
As we reported in July, they would like to drop the monthly and daily passes for SVS service, and stop automatically qualifying seniors by January. General Manager Ken Mehin said “We need to get a handle on that, and do what we can to bring back the service we lost,” adding that by April of next year they’d also like to offer training for qualified SVS patrons to be able to take the main line bus for free.
The first of two hearings starts at 2 PM Tuesday September 23rd in the board roam at 705 30th Street, the second meeting will be a part of their regular meeting next month.

Public Hearings 2015 Proposed Changes to Specialized Van Service (SVS) will be held on September 23 at 2:00 p.m. and at the regular Board Meeting on October 14 at 5:00 p.m.  Both hearings will be held at the Grays Harbor Transit Meeting Room at 705 30th Street, Hoquiam, WA.  For more information click here for the flyer
