Grays Harbor County Commissioner Wes Cormier thanked fellow Commissioner Frank Gordon for his service during Gordon’s final meeting yesterday. After a 30-minute meeting on Monday afternoon, Commission President Cormier said “I do want to thank Commissioner Gordon for serving over the last 4 years. This is your – officially, your last meeting and it’s been an exciting 4 years and there were many challenges and I just want you to know it’s been a pleasure, and thank you for serving.”

Gordon replied, “Thank you for all you do, it’s been a real interesting 4 years I’ll tell you that for sure. Thank you.”

The out-going Commissioner for District 2 was serving as an Aberdeen City council member in 2012 when he defeated Allan Shores, Michael Bruce, and then-incumbent Mike Wilson to take the Commissioner’s seat in Southwest Grays Harbor County.

Cormier won re-election to his commissioner seat over challenger Jamie Nichols this last November, Gordon lost to incoming Commissioner Randy Ross.

Commissioner Vickie Raines did not comment during that portion of yesterday’s meeting.
