The Grays Harbor Community Foundation is beginning their 25th year serving Grays Harbor, they’re also celebrating the retirement of Stan Pinnick from their board of directors.
A press release from the Foundation said Stan has been instrumental in the growth of the Foundation through the decades and has been with us from the initial $1,000 deposit into our bank account to our present day $60-million in assets.
Stan has served as Chair of the Board of Directors, served on their scholarship committee and helped create and grow their field trip program that serves Grays Harbor elementary aged students.
Eric Potts, Executive Director commented: “Stan has always been passionate about Grays Harbor and seeing youth succeed and be given opportunities. We will miss him greatly, but are thankful for the road he has paved for the Foundation in his 20+ years of service.”
Thank you for service, Stan! Our community is better because you are a part of it.
The Foundation said they are excited to kick off their 25 year anniversary this month by celebrating the community. “Our nonprofits are making our community stronger by serving our residents each and every day and we are going to celebrate them by awarding $25,000 in unrestricted funds to nonprofits throughout 2019.”
Each month, the foundation plans to surprise one 501c3 nonprofit organization with a check. The criteria is 1.) An organization that has received a grant from them within the last 3 years and 2.) Submitted a final report on time. Funds can be used at organization’s discretion.
