The Grays Harbor Community Foundation in partnership with Grays Harbor College last week provided an opportunity for local 3rd grade students to experience the musical production of Mary Poppins at The Bishop Center.

Over 900 Grays Harbor students will be attending three additional matinee performances over the two weeks during the performance. This opportunity is made possible by the Gladys Phillips Cultural Tours Fund at the Foundation. Gladys was a longtime Grays Harbor resident who was passionate about giving youth the opportunity to experience arts and culture at a young age.

Executive Director, Eric Potts commented “We are excited about giving youth in our community the experience of a local production and talent.” This is the first time the Foundation has supported a local musical production for 3rd grade students through the Gladys Phillips Cultural Tours Fund. “Supporting early learning opportunities in Grays Harbor is a new focus for the Foundation and we are excited about opportunities that allow our youngest residents exposure to educational and cultural experiences.”
