A Forks man was ejected from his vehicle when it rolled on the side of US Route 101 near the Lake Quinault School yesterday.

The Washington State Patrol said the 58-year-old was driving a 2005 Chevy Silverado pickup South on 101. Around 1:40 pm Sunday afternoon the truck left the road to the right, the driver over-corrected, and the truck slid broadside into the ditch, near milepost 127, before rolling and ejecting the driver.

He was transported to Community Hospital in Aberdeen before being airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The report said the man was not wearing a seatbelt and drug or alcohol are thought to be a factor in the accident.
