The dedication ceremony honoring the memory of WSP Trooper Tony Radulescu #557, will take place on Tuesday, February 23, 2016. Trooper Radulescu, a 16 year veteran of the Washington State Patrol, was killed February 23, 2012 while conducting an early morning traffic stop on SR16 in Kitsap County.


The Washington State Transportation Commission has passed a resolution to rename a portion of SR16 as the WSP Trooper Tony Radulescu Memorial Highway. Memorial signs will be posted on the highway, one on west bound SR16 near the Kitsap/Pierce County line and the second on east bound SR16 near mile post 28.


The dedication ceremony and sign unveiling will take place outside the DOT office at 10:15 a.m. and last approximately 45 minutes. Located at 8293 SE Spring Creek Rd, Port Orchard, WA 98367, the DOT office is just off of SR16 and Mullenix Rd.
