PORT ANGELES, Wash. (AP) — A man found dead at a campground in the Olympic National Park died from a wound caused by a crossbow.
The 54-year-old Joyce man was hit in the head by a short arrow called a bolt.
Clallam County Prosecutor Mark Nichols who also serves as county coroner tells the Peninsula Daily News (http://is.gd/iUhZ8v ) there is no obvious evidence of a crime and the death of Christopher E. Boysen remains under investigation by the National Park Service and FBI.
Boysen was found Feb. 4 at the Heart o’ the Hills campground. His landlord had reported him missing. He left his apartment Jan. 22 on a camping trip.
His sister, Kimberly Boysen of Mastic, New York, says her brother owned a cross bow and used it for target shooting.
