Another business is expanding at the Port of Grays Harbor as one of their incubated tenants is almost doubling in size after only 3 years in the Coastal Innovation Zone. Executive Director Leonard Barnes told Port Commissioners last week that Hesco is ready “They’re prepared now to take the whole downstairs, also the special projects room. This will provide them the space also the furnished offices that they need as they are bringing in more high end staff.”

The company started as Reed Composite Solutions with around 10 employee, crafting bullet proof plating for body and car armor. They were merged last year with Hesco, an international company that makes defensive and flood barriers, and have since grown to more than 30 employees in their offices on the Port Industrial Road.

The Port Commissioners approved a modification to their lease at their regular meeting last week, adding the Hesco name and the new office space.
