The Puyallup Police‏ @PuyallupPD  reported on their twitter page that the child was located

“Amber Alert has been canceled as child was found. He was a special needs child who was being restrained by his Grandfather. This was a Tacoma Police incident. Thanks for helping spread the word. Better to be safe than sorry.”

The Tacoma Police Department was looking for an unidentified 10-year-old white male, thin build, dark hair, wearing a blue sweat top and blue sweatpants.

The child was reported accompanied by an unidentified 50-year-old white male, described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, medium build, with a grey beard wearing tan fedora hat, sunglasses, a red checkered flannel shirt and blue jeans.

The male reportedly duct taped the child and placed him in a gold or silver 4-door vehicle that resembles a 2017 Toyota Camry and fled the area southbound from Delong Elementary School at 4901 s 14th street in Tacoma.

Police said in their statement that the child is special needs, and his grandfather was restraining him to keep him from running into traffic.
