Aberdeen Police arrested a Castle Rock man who sped off during a traffic stop early Tuesday morning. Commander Dale Green said it began on Wishkah Street at 3:05 AM, an Officer watched as a vehicle made no attempt to stop for a flashing red light at H Street.

The officer activated his lights and the vehicle stopped, However, while speaking to the driver, the 19 year-old put the car in drive and sped off. The officer gave chase over the Chehalis River bridge and turned west onto Perry Street where the driver jumped out and fled on foot towards a residence.

A Taser and a second officer helped get the man into custody at the doorway to the home. Investigators determined he gave a false name and had numerous warrants for his arrest.

He was booked on various charges including felony eluding, obstructing an officer, and driving on a suspended license.
