An Aberdeen man was stopped with a 30 inch flat screen TV under his coat, detectives tracked it back to the wall of a local business through a broken window. Police Captain John Green tells KBKW, on January 12, 2015 at about 4:40 in the morning, Officer Monte Glaser was on patrol and located a 40 year old male walking behind B and B Automotive which is in the 300 block of West Market St. Officers are familiar with the subject from numerous contacts.
Officer Glaser saw a large object protruding from under the subjects coat. It was determined that the subject was carrying a 30 inch flat screen TV with wall mounts under his coat. After speaking with the subject the TV was taken as found property and placed into the Aberdeen Police Department Evidence room.
Officers began to check the businesses in the area and found a broken glass door at the Avada Hearing Center in the 300 block of West Market St. The door was in a condition that would allow entry into the business. Officer checked the business and saw a TV wall mount that was missing the TV. The owner of the business was eventually contacted. When he responded to the business he reported the only item missing was a 30 inch flat screen TV.
The case has been assigned to a Detective.
