The theme for Hawaiian Chieftain’s trip is “California 2009-2010: Hands-on History for Youth.” The tour emphasizes the ship’s mission of delivering valuable—and in some cases, life-changing—educational experiences for young people. Scheduled ports of call include: San Francisco, Sacramento, Antioch, Rio Vista, Santa Cruz, Newport Beach, Oxnard, Ventura, Oakland, Redwood City, Eureka, Crescent City, and Coos Bay, Ore.
