The Grays Harbor county sheriff’s office plans to continue their search today for a missing person.

Raymond G Denault, 38 years old, W/M 6’01”, 195 pounds, blue eyes, brown short hair.
He was last seen on March 13th,2019 at approximately 5:00 A.M. waling on South Bank Road at Garrard Creek Road.

Raymond was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, white shorts, and tennis shoes. He has a goatee style facial hair and his head is shaved bald. Raymond has tattoos on both arms and he has a missing index finger and thumb on his left hand.

Denault was upset over a personal matter when he left on foot. Family members reported that he has not been taking care of himself and is skinny with sunken in cheeks.

Family members that Raymond would most likely be in the Lewis County or Thurston County area.

He has not contacted family or friends since walking away.

***Missing person located deceased***

Missing person Joann Nelson has been located deceased approximately one mile from the end of Polson Camp Road. At this point the death does not appear suspicious. The investigation will continue. Family members have been notified and the Sheriff’s Office expresses our condolences for the loss of their loved one. Search and rescue located the victim in a heavily wooded area off of Polson Camp Road.

Chief Criminal Deputy Brad Johansson said in a press release that the Sheriff’s Office located Nelson’s vehicle abandoned vehicle on US 101 at milepost 95.5 on 03-27-19.

The following day the Sheriff’s Office was contacted by Bellingham PD and advised the vehicle was associated to a missing person out of their agency. Deputies starting searching the area for Nelson.

A nearby resident possibly saw Nelson walking on Polson Camp Road on 03-27-19. Nelson’s phone was tracked and it showed her phone was in the area of Polson Camp Road.

Due to the remote area and the lack of cell towers the accuracy of the cell phone has a very low accuracy. The phone could be located in a four mile radius.

A search and rescue mission was started. Ground searchers, blood hounds and searchers in vehicles starting searching the surrounding area.

A military helicopter was scheduled for a training mission and agreed to fly over the area with a heat seeking camera.

As of 03-29-19 at 0800 hours Nelson has not been located. The search will continue today.
