ABERDEEN, Wash. – Business and Community leaders from throughout Grays Harbor met this morning for breakfast at the 10th, and 1st, annual State of Grays Harbor Address. While Co-Chair, Randy Ross warned that the ink was still wet, CEO Tim Gibbs of Greater Grays Harbor Inc said the group is cautiously optimistic in announcing that a letter of intent has been filed for the purchase of Grays Harbor Paper. Although negotiations are still underway, the receiver is optimistic that the mill will be purchased and reopened in time. The newly formed Greater Grays Harbor Inc. has been facing challenges head-on since the merger of the Economic Development Council and Chamber last year.
