Grays Harbor residents will have a chance to hear from candidates running in the 19th Legislative District at a legislative forum tonight at the Aberdeen High School Auditorium.

In the race for the Senate seat, Sue Kuehl Pederson is running against incumbent Senator Dean Takko. For State Representative Seats, position 1 candidates are Democrat Teresa Purcell and Republican Jim Walsh, For the position 2 seat, Democratic incumbent Brian Blake is challenged by Republican Jimi O’Hagan on the November ballot.

A forum for the 24th legislative district is scheduled for Tuesday, September 27 in the Little Theater at Hoquiam High School.

“Greater Grays Harbor is excited to be hosting this candidate forum together with our media partners and sponsors, Jodesha Broadcasting, Alpha Media Grays Harbor and the Aberdeen Daily World newspaper. We are excited to offer this event to residents of Grays Harbor to learn more about the candidates,” said Dru Garson, Greater Grays Harbor CEO.

The events are free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. The forum will last from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. For those unable to attend, KBKW and KXRO will be live streaming the event.
