ABERDEEN – On Wednesday, June 27, Washington State Department of Transportation crews will permanently remove a traffic signal at the intersection of State Route 105 and West Huntley Street near the South Shore Mall. An earlier WSDOT analysis indicated the signal, which is outdated, is not needed for adequate traffic control at the intersection. Both directions of West Huntley Street at SR 105 traffic already are already controlled by existing stop signs.
During daytime hours on Wednesday, motorists can expect minor delays at the intersection while work is underway. In addition to the signal work, crews will clear brush, add additional pavement markings and replace the existing stop signs on West Huntley Street with larger stop signs.
