The Grays Harbor Public Utility District's reputation for reliability is growing. The PUD is one of 184 of the nation's 2,000 public power utilities and one of four in Washington to earn the Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3) designation from the American Public Power Association for providing their customers with the highest degree of reliable and safe electric service.
“This is a district-wide honor. Providing our community with reliable, quality services is a huge responsibility and it's one that everyone at the Grays Harbor PUD takes seriously,” said General Manager Dave Ward. “We have made great strides over the last year to ensure that we have a system that our customers can rely on and this designation is much appreciated recognition of that fact.”
In honor of Arbor Day, the City of Hoquiam Urban Forestry Committee, in partnership with local Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, will plant two Tschonski flowering crab trees on the west side of Olympic Stadium along 28th Street. ABC/Jon LeMayEver since Taylor Swift shelled out a reported $17 million a year ago for a huge mansion in Rhode Island's tony Watch Hill neighborhood, the home has been the site of much drama, from random trespassers, to angry locals accusing her of blocking access to the beach. Now, word is she's looking to unload the 11,000 square-foot home.
The rumor evidently started when a reporter for the local Rhode Island paper The Westerly Sun tweeted, "Is Taylor Swift's Watch Hill mansion for sale? I'm hearing that but I can't confirm." This, of course, set off all kinds of speculation from various real estate blogs, all noting the sprawling home's eight bedrooms, 10 1/2 baths, reception rooms, 45-foot-long sun porch, five-car heated garage, balconies, swimming pool and sweeping views.
A rep for Taylor did not immediately return emails from ABC News Radio seeking comment on whether or not the home is for sale.
In addition to the Rhode Island mansion, Taylor also owns a condo in Nashville, a place in Los Angeles, and a newly-purchased pad in Manhattan. She has definitely enjoyed ...read more
NBCThe Voice said goodbye to two of its 12 artists on Tuesday night.
In the first live results show of the season, Team Usher member T.J. Wilkins and Dani Moz of Team Shakira were eliminated. The bottom three, which were based on the viewers' votes, also included one of Dani's teammates, Tess Boyer.
Tess was saved by the fans in the final minutes of the show. Following performances by the three artists, the fans were asked to support their favorite by tweeting the hashtag #VoiceSave, along with the singer's first name.
Tess sang Kelly Clarkson's "Dark Side"; T.J. performed Edwin McCain's "I'll Be"; and Dani Moz covered Adele's "Turning Tables."
The one-hour results show also featured performances by Team Adam Levine and Team Blake Shelton. Adam joined his artists for a rendition of Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer," while Blake and his crew took on Travis Tritt's "Put Some Drive In Your Country."
Shakira took the stage, too, singing "Empire" from her recently-released self-titled album.
The live round resumes next Monday night on NBC.

Trae Patton/NBCIf Gwen Stefani is really joining The Voice, current coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton aren't talking.
"We can neither confirm or deny," Adam told E!, and Blake chimed in, "If there is a person in this world named Gwen Stefani, I think she would probably be a great addition to this show."
"If there was a Gwen Stefani that was gonna be on the show and that also happened to also be the singer in No Doubt and a fashion icon, and many many other wonderful things, I think if that were to happen, that would be great," Adam added. "But I can't say whether or not that's true."
OK, now, how about a serious answer?
"I hope it's true," Voice host Carson Daly tells E!. "Nothing's confirmed, but if that's the case, should there be fire behind the smoke, we should be so lucky!"
If Gwen does become a coach on The Voice, it'll be on the show's seventh season, which begins filming in June.

AGreatBigWorld.comA Great Big World has other songs besides "Say Something," y'know. The duo has just debuted the new video for their next single, "Already Home," and they've tapped some well-known actors to play the starring roles: Glee's Darren Criss and Gossip Girl's Jessica Szohr.
The fact that Darren is starring in the duo's video is something of a "full circle" moment, since the way many of us first heard of A Great Big World is when their song "This Is the New Year" was featured on Glee's fourth season. In the video, Darren and Jessica play a couple who live on opposite coasts -- he in California, she in New York City. Footage of them going through their lives while constantly thinking of one another is intercut with footage of A Great Big World's Chad Vaccarino and Ian Axel performing the song, the lyrics for which include the line, "If only New York wasn't so far away."
At the end of the clip, Darren and Jessica both resolve to book a plane ticket to the opposite coast and surprise each other with a visit. Of course, their wires get crossed, ...read more
Fox/Warner Bros RecordsAfter appearing on such TV shows as The Crazy Ones, The Office and Glee in the flesh, Josh Groban is now ready to get animated. He'll be appearing as a guest voice on an upcoming episode of the animated Fox show American Dad.
In the episode, which airs May 11, Josh will voice a character, but it's unclear whether or not he's playing himself. The plot concerns Hayley interning at a local news station for female reporter modeled on Nancy Grace...but who is really Roger in disguise.
Before that, another chart-topping musician will guest-star on the Seth MacFarlane-created show: Robin Thicke.
On the May 4 episode of American Dad, Roger bets an annoying coffee-shop musician that he can outplay him. Robin plays that annoying musician. In a cool twist, Robin's famous dad, Alan Thicke, also guest-stars in the episode, as himself.
American Dad airs on Fox at 7: 30 p.m. ET/PT as part of the network's Sunday night "Animation Domination" lineup.

Cliff Lipson/CBSOther than her performance at the Academy Awards in early 2013, it's hard to think of the last time Adele performed live for a big audience. But if one British tabloid report is to be believed, she'll be hitting the stage later this year for a big "comeback" concert.
The British paper The Sunday Express claims that Adele's new album is due in October, and she wants to celebrate it by performing a concert at London's Royal Albert Hall.
A source close to Adele tells the paper, "This is the most exciting and promising news fans have had from Adele for ages," but cautions, "A world tour is still a long way off, certainly a conventional series of shows...The key to all these plans is that Adele feels comfortable with her voice. She has vowed that she never wants to break down during a tour or put her voice through so much stress that she suffers problems."
In October of 2011, Adele was forced to cancel the remaining dates of her tour due to a vocal hemorrhage and later underwent surgery to correct the problem.

Credit: Andreas Laszlo KonrathOn Monday night, Bruno Mars wrapped up three big concerts in his home state of Hawaii, and Hawaiian governor Neil Abercrombie honored their local-boy-made-good by proclaiming "Bruno Mars Day" throughout the Aloha state.
The proclamation of Bruno Mars Day -- April 21, 2014 -- notes Bruno's many accomplishments, and states that his "talent for combining catchy pop melodies, hip-hop beats and feel-good lyrics has helped him emerge as one of Hawaii's most popular artists."
In addition, the Hawaiian legislature honored Bruno backstage at his concert with a special certificate, according to the Hawaii Reporter.
"Bruno Mars, a young man born in Hawaii, has become a musical phenomenon and a global icon, and an exceptional representative of the people of these islands," reads the certificate. "The Senate and House of Representatives of the Twenty-seventh Legislature of the State of Hawaii hereby commends and congratulates Bruno Mars on his outstanding career and extends our best wishes for his continued success throughout the years to come."
Image Courtesy Madonna via InstagramHey, did you hear? Madonna's album is totally done...and a famous photographer has heard it! Except...it's not, and he didn't, and the whole thing is a lie.
That's according to the Queen of Pop's rep, who tells ABC News Radio that an Instagram post from fashion photographer Mert Alas, in which he claimed to be listening to the star's album, is nonsense.
Alas is one half of the photography duo Mert and Marcus; together, they directed Madonna's 2012 video for "Girl Gone Wild." Alas posted a photo of Madonna, and captioned it, "In my room listening to the NEW ALBUM!!!!! Im DYING!!!!!! LET ME LOVE YOU FROM INSIDE OUT."
But referring to Alas' claim, Madonna's spokesperson tells ABC News Radio, "In his dreams...she's only starting to write [the album]…no one has heard it."
Madonna's been working on her new album with a wide variety of collaborators, including Swedish deejay Avicii, and people who've written hits for Fergie, Miley Cyrus, Beyonce and Colbie Caillat, just to name a few.

NBCThe Voice launched its live round on Monday night, with the 12 remaining artists taking the stage for solo performances. Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Shakira and Usher were there to offer their two cents.
Here's what happened during the two-hour show:
Team Usher's Bria Kelly opened the broadcast with a risky song choice: Adele's "Rolling in the Deep." Adam said it was a tall order to take on that hit, but she brought angst and something different to it. However, both he and Shakira wished Bria sang it in a higher key. Usher said he felt the passion and fire in Bria's voice.
Team Adam's Delvin Choice tackled The Righteous Brothers classic "Unchained Melody." Usher said there was more "rejoice" in Delvin's version, but he wouldn't say whether that was a good thing or a bad thing. Adam said he had goose bumps from the performance, and he was so proud of Delvin.
Dani Moz of Team Shakira sang Pink's "Just Give Me A Reason." Adam said it is such a hard song to perform that it leaves an artist no time to breathe. Shakira said Dani was dynamic, and heartfelt in the verses.
