Shelton Woman Dies in Single Vehicle Accident Tuesday

SHELTON, Wash. - A 72 year old Shelton woman was killed at about 3:30 PM yesterday in a single vehicle collision in the 5600 Block of East Agate Road.  According to the Mason County Sheriff’s Traffic Enforcement Team investigator, a 1995 Jeep Cherokee driven by Emelie W. Link was eastbound on the Agate Road when its wheels left the roadway to the right.  The vehicle collided with a culvert on the south side of the roadway then struck a utility pole coming to rest on its roof.  Link was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was partially ejected.  Investigators do not think speed or alcohol were causing factors in this incident.  Link was not wearing a seatbelt.
