OCEAN SHORES, Wash. – Grays Harbor’s first bigfoot summit got off to a big start over the weekend, with an all-star lineup at the Quinault Beach Resort and Casino. It started Friday with speakers like Bob Gimlin recounting his side of the Patterson-Gimlin film of 1967, Derek Randals of the Olympic Project, and a surprise visit by Cliff Barrackman of Animal Planet’s “Finding Bigfoot.”
Randals and Barrackman hosted a cast-pouring class off of the Weatherwax trail in Ocean Shores on Sunday.
The Sasquatch Summit hosted events throughout the weekend, and coordinators tell us they’re already booking for next year’s summit, for details visit www.sasquatchsummit.com
Randals also released a new photo at the summit that they believe may feature the hairy hominid.
OCEAN SHORES, Wash. – An 85 year old man with dimentia was found early this morning after he apparently wandered from his Ocean Shores condo overnight. Sergeant Grossi with the OSPD tells us he was discovered missing at around 5 this morning, although his family was unsure of when he left overnight with the dog. Officers found the man at another condo complex about a 1/4 mile North of his rental just before 7 this morning. He was cold and disoriented but otherwise unharmed and returned to his family.
OCEAN SHORES, Wash. – The North Beach Chamber of Commerce in Ocean Shores tells us they have been advised that there is a large ring of people involved in a check writing scam who have hit 45 businesses from Grays Harbor to Pacific County and as far south as Astoria. Local businesses are circulating a list of names associated with the scam, the chamber says you should be suspicious of any large check amounts even if the name does not appear on the list.
