Third Aberdeen ward meeting tonight at Robert Gray Elementary

ABERDEEN, Wash. – The next ward meeting for Aberdeen residents starts at 6:30 tonight at Robert Gray Elementary, Mayor Bill Simpson said last week about 30 residents and city staff attended the first, and about 40 the second meeting. the final meeting will be held at McDermoth Elementary on Friday. A town hall meeting will be held early next year to address the larger concerns raised at these meetings.

City of Aberdeen is September Organization of the Month

ABERDEEN, Wash. – Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. announced today that the City of Aberdeen is the Organization of the Month for September.

The city has been incorporated for 123 years and a member of Greater Grays Harbor and its predecessor organizations for many of those years.

In the last year, the City has supported United Way, local schools, Salvation Army, Foodball, youth sports, Historical Seaport, Red Cross, Relay for Life, American Heart Association, Habitat for Humanity, Coastal Harvest and Paint the Corridor.

Employees of the city take part in service organizations, too, while Mayor Bill Simpson, Community Development Administrator Lisa Scott and Councilwoman Kathi Hoder have held positions with GGHI.
