Chill, the Drill’s Over

MONTESANO, Wash. - Chuck Wallace, Deputy Director of the Grays Harbor County Emergency Management Agency tells us "The “Chill it’s A Drill” AHAB Siren Activation Test in Grays Harbor County worked very well."

Results from the different sites all indicated a loud, clear voice message and a clear wailing siren.  It was the intention of Grays Harbor County Emergency Management, Local Emergency Management Agencies throughout the 5 County Region and Washington State Emergency Management Division to allow the citizens to hear the actual siren wail. This would assist them in the future if a severe emergency should occur. Remember, the AHAB Sirens can be used for emergency situations other than a Tsunami. The capability is there to provide notification and voice messages for any type of severe weather or disaster situation.

Website visitors can hear the siren in the attached .mp3, just click on the story title above.
