Daryl Hall Welcomes Hootie & the Blowfish's Darius Rucker to "Live from Daryl's House"

Credit: Ian JohnsonThe latest guest to drop by Daryl Hall’s TV show Live from Daryl’s House is Darius Rucker, the country music hitmaker who’s best known as the frontman for ’90s superstars Hootie & the Blowfish.

In a special installment of the show, the Hall & Oates frontman travels to Charleston, South Carolina, Darius’ hometown, for a jam session with him in an 1843 Greek revival-style home restored by one of Daryl’s buddies. The two will perform the Hootie & the Blowfish hit “Let Her Cry,” as well as a cover of the Righteous Brothers‘ “You’ve Lost that Lovin’ Feelin’,” which was also a hit for Hall & Oates in 1980.

In addition, Daryl and Darius will team on the Hall & Oates hit “Do It for Love,” Daryl’s solo tune “Laughing Down Crying” and a number of Darius’ country hits, including his smash “Wagon Wheel.”

All that singing can make a guy hungry, so we’ll also get to see the two singers learning how to shuck oysters for a roast.

Wanna See Hall & Oates Get Inducted Into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? Fly to Cleveland

Mick Rock/Wolfson EntertainmentWe’ve got good news and bad news for anyone who wants to see Hall & Oates, Linda Ronstadt, Cat Stevens and Peter Gabriel be inducted into the Hall of Fame next month. The good news is that if you don’t live in New York and can’t attend the actual ceremony in Brooklyn, NY, there’s another way you can watch it. The bad news is that it involves flying to Cleveland.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced that it will beam this year’s April 10 induction ceremony live to the actual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame itself, which is located in Cleveland, Ohio. Fans there can watch their musical heroes be inducted on one of several screens in the facility, and can stroll around and check out the rock exhibits, all of which will be open to event ticket holders beginning at 7 p.m. ET. The screening of the ceremony begins at 8:30 p.m. ET.
