Primary Election results show support for local EMS

MONTESANO, Wash. - With a 17.7% voter turnout for the Primary election, both of Westport's EMS Levies are passing, as well as Fire District 3 and 14 EMS levies.
In Aberdeen, Michelle Barclay will face incumbent councilman Denny Lawrence.
Karrie Fruen challenges incumbent Drew Hooper for Hospital Dist. 1 Position 3.
The County Auditor reports the next ballot count will be Friday, results will be certified on the 20th, the General Election is in November.

Aberdeen council candidate responds to campaign against her

ABERDEEN, Wash. - You may have seen the truck, with an 8-foot billboard urging "NO Barclay for city council," and listing 4 court cases that she "Doesn't want you to know."
A statement from the council candidate said the public documents are accurate, and the truck's owner was 86'd from a bar that she owned. The Ol' Lonesome bar was closed in July due to low revenues.
Michelle Barclay is facing Bruce Daniels and incumbent Denny Lawrence for Aberdeen's Ward 6 council position.
