The Grays Harbor PUD conducted an emergency outage Monday, November 25, 2013, at approximately 3:30 p.m. in order to make repairs to a transmission line. Affecting customers in the Quinault, Crane Creek, and Wynoochee Dam areas, it lasted less than 2 hours.
Customers are advised to take precautions with any electronic equipment by unplugging those items and leaving them disconnected until after the power has been fully restored.
Also, please remember that it is not safe to make repairs to electrical systems during outages without having the power disconnected, as the duration of the outage is only an estimate and power can be restored at any time.
ABERDEEN, Wash. – Grays Harbor PUD will be conducting a planned outage on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until approximately 5:00 p.m. on the same day. The outage is necessary for system repairs to improve reliability.
Customers that will be affected are those located north of Crane Creek along State Highway 101, including Clearwater Road, Queets, Kalaloch Lodge and National Park facilities in that location. Amanda Park and Lake Quinault areas will not be affected.
In preparation for this outage, we recommend you take precautions with any electronic equipment such as computers, televisions, and microwaves by unplugging those items. You should leave them disconnected until after the power has been fully restored.
In addition, customers are advised that the length of the outage is an estimate and power could be restored at any time. For that reason, it is not safe to make repairs to your electrical system without having the power disconnected at your specific location.
