Train to Rock Tortuga Music Festival on Saturday

RocktheOcean.comTrain is currently working on a new album, but that doesn’t mean they can’t leave the studio every once in a while to play some live music. The band is one of the headliners for the two-day Tortuga Music Festival, taking place this Saturday and Sunday on the beach in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Train, who will perform Saturday, is one of the very few pop acts on the bill: it’s a mostly country music lineup, with acts like Eric Church, Billy Currington and Brett Eldredge. The festival is essentially a charity event designed to benefit the Rock the Ocean Foundation, which raises awareness of issues affecting the world’s oceans.

Train frontman Pat Monahan tells USA Today, “Playing music is what I love to do. I don’t know how to do anything else, so if the occasion arises that I can raise awareness and a little bit of money, [I will]. I’m on the water as often as I can be. We need the ocean more than it needs us.”

The band has quite a few shows lined up for the summer, starting in late June and going through …read more

Tony Bennett/Lady Gaga Duets Album Finally Arriving in September

Credit: Kelsey BennettIt’s been delayed a number of times, but now, Tony Bennett says his duets album with Lady Gaga will definitely be released in September. In fact, Bennett tells that the album, Cheek to Cheek, will be released before the Grammy Awards eligibility deadline of September 30.

The disc, which features him and Gaga teaming up on jazz standards, was supposed to come out in January; then it was moved to March. The delays, according to, had to do with the desire to have the album released well after Gaga’s latest album, ARTPOP, and after her tour, which starts next month, is complete. This way, she’ll be free to make TV appearances alongside Bennett to promote the album.

“Wait ’til you hear her voice,” the legendary crooner told the website, talking about Gaga. “She’s a real singer.”

Taylor Swift Buys NYC Penthouse for Nearly $20 Million

ABC/Richard HarbaughThere’s been much speculation over the past week as to whether or not Taylor Swift really laid out close to $20 million for a swanky New York City residence. Well, E! News has confirmed that the singer did, in fact, splash out on a fancy penthouse — two of them, in fact.

According to E!, Taylor spent $19.9 million to buy not one but two penthouse apartments in a building in New York’s trendy Tribeca neighborhood. Together, they total more than 8,000 square feet. By comparison, the mansion she purchased in Rhode Island last year for close to $18 million was just 3,000 square feet larger.

Taylor’s new Manhattan neighbors include Beyonce and Jay Z and Gwyneth Paltrow, according to E!. The singer’s been spotted out and about in the Big Apple over the last two weeks, shopping and hanging out with friends.

Despite owning residences in Los Angeles, Rhode Island and, now, New York, Taylor recently told Time magazine that Nashville, where she also owns a condo, will always be her real “home.” She says she likes it because she’s not bothered by paparazzi as she …read more

Celine Dion Slashes Price on Florida Mansion to a Mere $62.5 Million

CelineDion.comCeline Dion made headlines last year when she put her enormous mansion in Jupiter, Florida on sale for an astonishing $72.5 million. Well, that was just crazy, so the diva has now slashed the price…to a low, low $62.5 million.

According to the Florida website, the 10,000-square-foot property, which boasts its own water park, has been assessed for $18 million. But the realtor who listed the home originally said that the original $72.5 million asking price was pretty much what Celine and her husband Rene Angelil spent to buy the property and develop it to their liking.

In addition to the water park, the home boasts 415 feet of oceanfront property, a main house, and five pavilions, with a total of 13 bedrooms. There’s also a golf course, a pool house, a beach house with a massage room and even a simulated golf range. Celine’s an avid golfer, and if you bought this house, your neighbors would include golf legends Tiger Woods and Greg Norman.
