One woman was killed, and a Shelton man injured when his car crossed the centerline on a curve South of Shelton Sunday. The Washington State Patrol report said drugs or alcohol may have been involved.
The 55-year-old Shelton man was driving North on State Route 3. His 2017 Kia Forte failed to negotiate the curve near Vic King Road and struck an oncoming 2001 Pontiac Sunfire.
Officials are working to notify the woman’s next of kin before releasing her name.
Both vehicles were totaled, the State Patrol said the road was fully blocked for nearly 5 hours while they investigated. A cause and any charges stemming from that investigation are pending.
