Rochester Man Struck by Car While Walking In Middle of Lane on US Route 101

A 39-year-old Rochester man was airlifted from the scene after being struck by a car on US Route 101 North of Raymond late Tuesday. The Washington State Patrol reports he was walking in the middle of the Northbound lane just after 10 pm Tuesday night when a Northbound 1999 Audi A6 hit the man.

The reported cause of the accident was “pedestrian- walking in the roadway.” The driver of the car, a 72-year-old Seattle man was not charged with a crime.

The Rochester man was airlifted to Saint Peters Hospital in Olympia with undisclosed injuries.
