Police Seeking Tips After Aberdeen Man is Assaulted, Severely Injured

Aberdeen Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a couple of assault suspects who seriously injured a 52-year-old Aberdeen man last month. They say one woman distracted the man while a man assaulted him.

Detective Jeff Weiss said that officers were called to the reported assault in the West alley behind the 200 Blk of North Washington Street at 7:20 pm on the evening of October 20th. They found a 52-year-old man on the ground with numerous injuries to his head. The victim was transported to Community Hospital and later life flighted to Tacoma due to his injuries.

He described his attacker as a white man, 5’10”, with a muscular build, clean shaven with short brown hair, he was wearing a white t-shirt and black jeans at the time of the attack.

He said the attacker was standing next to his wife’s car when he was distracted by a woman standing near a maroon Lincoln passenger car. The victim described the woman as in her 30’s or 40’s with straight jet black hair. He said she came up to him and started accusing him of assaulting her. When his attention was taken from the man he was struck in the head and fell to the ground.
