ABERDEEN, Wash. - With the opening of Finch Play field Spray Park this week, the city of Aberdeen is looking at another city park that's getting a face lift, Aberdeen City Councilman Jerry Mills told KBKW "Now we're getting ready to do the North End park, and that's gonna be great to. They're gonna change where the kids play..put new play equipment in.. They had a picture up at City Hall of what it's going to look like."
There is still some work left to do on the Finch spray field, Mills said the city is waiting on further funding to put the finishing touches on that park "They got to put the wall around the side so they can sit and watch. They put grass all around to keep the mud off the spray park and that's just temporary.. They're going to put a wall around it as soon as they get some more fund."
Weather permitting, the Finch Play field Spray Park should remain open through the weekend, the park is open daily from 11am to 7pm. Mills said one of the city's concerns now is vandalism of restrooms at the city's parks.
