On 7/21/09 at 5:17pm Washington State Department of Transportation worker stopped to render assistance to what he thought was a disabled 1999 Lincoln Continental on SR-14 westbound near 164th St. What he saw was the male passenger, Nathaniel D. Mosley a 22 year old Vancouver resident, striking the female driver. Troopers from the Washington State Patrol were dispatched to the scene.
Mosley jumped the fence to the north and fled on foot, only to be taken into custody by Trooper Todd Gates without incident on McGillivray near 144th avenue. Another trooper contacted the female victim and learned the argument began while driving. The female driver pulled over and the assault continued until interrupted by the DOT worker. Mosley was booked into the Clark County jail on charges of Assault 4th Degree Domestic Violence.
