LAKE LIMERICK, Wash. - On Monday, 10/21/2013, the Mason County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group (SOG) along with Law Enforcement Officers from the Squaxin Island Tribal Police Department, the WA State Department of Corrections and the U.S. Marshal Service, responded to a residence located in the Lake Limerick area of Mason County. The response was due to SOG receiving a tip regarding two wanted subjects with warrants for their arrest.
The two wanted subjects were apprehended regarding their warrants and a third person was arrested for drug related charges. During the arrests in and around the residence, 3.6 ounces of Methamphetamine (street value of $8,000.00) and nearly $12,000.00 in cash was confiscated.
Due to the above investigation, SOG was led to another residence located in the Pierce County area. During a search warrant service, two stolen vehicles and a stolen AR-15 Rifle were recovered along with another 1.5 ounces of Methamphetamine (street value of $2,500.00).
Sheriff Casey Salisbury commented that due to the professional work of SOG along with the partnerships with other Law Enforcement agencies, a stolen firearm and over $10,500.00 worth of Methamphetamine was taken off the streets!
