OCEAN SHORES, Wash. - Do you like to cook? Are you in one of the 7th through 12th grades? The 7th Annual Razor Clam Festival & Seafood Extravaganza is hosting a junior amateur clam chowder cook off for the first time. Entry fee is just $10.00 and the top three winners will receive a cash prize and awards. An adult over 21 years of age must accompany amateur junior chefs and have a signed agreement prior to competition.
Judging will take place on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the Ocean Shores Convention Center. The Festival runs from 9am to 6pm on Saturday, March 23 and 9am to 4pm on Sunday. This fun family event is full of activities such as live music, kids korner, food and craft vendors, auction of decorated clam shovels and guns, restaurant chefs compete for the best clam chowder and entrees, while two sets of amateurs compete for the best chowder.
Admission is free for kids 12 and under. Adults get in for only $3.00 for each day or $5.00 for both days.
