No Injuries From Fire That Claims Central Park Home

Central Park, WA - No one was injured at a house fire in Central Park overnight. Fire District 2 chief Leonard Johnson tells us crews were called to the home in the 6100 block of Central Park Drive at 12:42 this morning to find a garage and attached breaze way fully involved. Johnson said 4 people had evacuated, and the home was just starting to catch fire when crews began to arrive. A total of 17 personel from Fire District 2 and Montesano kept the fire contained to the single story manufactured home which Johnson said suffered heavy smoke and heat damage but not as much fire damage. The Montesano-Aberdeen road was blocked for several hourse overnight, a small crew remains on scene this morning watching for flareups, the cause of the fire is under investigation.
